“Education should be a synergistic process. Student learning from teacher; teacher learning from student.”

Samantha is a multifaceted musician, educator, and entrepreneur. Originally hailing from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she earned her Bachelor of Music and Fine Arts in Music Theater at the University of Central Oklahoma. She became a Colorado-certified K-12 Music educator in 2020 and is currently teaching her eighth year in K-5 Music.

For the last six years, Samantha has been a cornerstone of the performing arts department at Ignacio School District. In 2024, she founded the Voices of Ignacio Choir where she currently serves as Director.

Her passion for music education extends beyond the classroom and into professional production. Last year, Samantha wrote and released the Character Counts!© Anthem for Ignacio Schools; a multi-award-winning project featuring the original members of Voices of Ignacio Choir. The recording can be found on the official Character Counts!© Website, and is currently available for streaming on Spotify and other major platforms.

Outside of the school system, Samantha is active with the local music industry as the co-founder and CEO of Agave Studios where she and her team offer private lessons and music production.

On her off-time, Samantha enjoys roadtrips, jamming out, watching old musicals, and cuddling with her cat, Louie.
